Coronavirus (Covid-19) update

FEVER, DRY COUGH, OR DIFFICULTY BREATHING?

At this time, we are open to our patients, but if you meet the following criteria, please self-quarantine and make your appointment after three weeks. If you are not sure, please call us at (301) 659-0003 before you come in.

  1. If you have recently traveled or have been in contact with someone who has internationally traveled, please make your appointment after three weeks of self-quarantine.
  2. If you have any of the above symptoms, please stay home, separate yourself from other people in your home and call your primary care doctor immediately.

FIGHT THE CORONA VIRUS WITH THESE DO’S AND DON’TS

Corona virus travels through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes within a 3-6 feet distance from you, or when you touch, shake hands with an infected person or when you touch a surface where the virus has landed and then you touch your eyes, nose or mouth before washing your hands. Here are some prevention tips.

Do’s

  • Maintain a 6 feet distance from other people
  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, several times a day
  • Carry a hand sanitizer with you when going out so you can sanitize as soon as you exit any public place.
  • Cover your nose and mouth while coughing and sneezing with a tissue or flexed elbow. Wash and sanitize your hands after.
  • Wear a protective mask when going to a crowded place
  • Maintain social distancing
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces including tables, doorknobs, light switches & counter tops. Also, remember to wipe your phones, car door handles, steering wheel etc
  • Stay hydrated, drink plenty of water
  • Avoid stress since stress can lower your immunity
  • Take plenty of vitamin C to boost your immunity
  • Use your elbow to open doors in public places, if possible.
  • Wash clothes frequently

Don’ts

  • Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
  • Avoid shaking hands
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Avoid travel
  • If you feel sick, stay home.
  • If you have fever, dry cough, or difficulty breathing, call your primary care doctor immediately.
  • DON’T touch your eyes, nose, and mouth, especially in a public place.
